Established in 1978 by Brian Stonier and his wife Noel in the coastal town of Merricks, Stonier is considered a pre-eminent Mornington Peninsula producer of wines made from some of the region's oldest vines. The first Chardonnay was planted in 1978 and Pinot Noir in 1982. The cool maritime proved ideals for these early ripening varieties. The most recent additions to the range include single vineyard and sparkling wines.
