WINEMAKER’S COMMENT

The Single Vineyard Taylors Pass Sauvignon Blanc has lifted floral aromatics of jasmine and elderflower, with vibrant gooseberry and passionfruit notes.

This leads into a pure and concentrated palate with snow pea, nettles and punchy grapefruit and lime zest. This classy Sauvignon Blanc showcases finely woven acidity and textured savory, biscuit notes providing a long lingering, complex finish.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

Serve lightly chilled as an aperitif or with light dishes such as poached white fish or sautéed scallops with a rocket and melon salad. VINEYARD & WINEMAKING The climate in Marlborough has high sunshine hours, but temperatures during the growing season are regulated by the cooling ocean influence.

Marlborough had a warmer than usual spring, followed by a temperate summer. All Sauvignon Blanc grapes were machine harvested between early March until mid April in cool autumn conditions. .

FRUIT HANDLING: Machine harvested and destemmed in the vineyard during cool night conditions to retain freshness and aromatics YEAST: Carefully selected cultured aromatic yeast

FERMENTATION: Cool, slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks to retain distinctive regional and varietal characteristics VINEYARD: The picturesque Taylors Pass Vineyard is located on the meandering Awatere River in Marlborough. With soils ranging from silt over gravels to stony gravels, the vineyard consistently produces intense, concentrated fruit.

Coriole-Lloyd Reserve-Shiraz-2002-750mL

Lloyd Reserve is produced from the oldest Shiraz vineyard at Coriole, planted in 1919, and was first retained as a separate wine in 1989. Very complex aromas of blackberry, plums, spice and chocolate. A rich very succulent palate and gentle tannins. This wine shows great attraction to consume when young or can be cellared for many years. The 2002 Lloyd Reserve is the first produced using French rather than American oak.
