Two Hands-Deer in Headlights-Shiraz-2004-750mL

Producer: Two Hands
SKU: 639

Vibrant purple red plum colour. The nose shows an abundance of juicy cassis and blackberry fruit with an undercurrent of cedar spice. Not a wine for the faint hearted, the palate shows incredible concentration with luscious mouth-coating tannins. Although a powerhouse, everything is in check with an excellent balance of fruit concentration, tannin and acid. Flavours of dark chocolate, plum, and black cherry are beautifully integrated with cedary oak. The palate is like the perfect wave, building in intensity towards an impressive long finish with great persistency.

The Wine Advocate

Bottled from a very small selection of barrels from the Western district of Barossa that defines the intensity and richness of this sub-region whilst characterising the distinctive red-black fruit flavours and soft, round tannins. Very limited production.

d'Arenberg-The Coppermine Road-Cabernet Sauvignon-2002-750mL

The nose shows intense blackcurrant and cranberry fruit, and the subtle cedary cinnamon spice, barrel-ferment and oak derived aromas, violet and mint scents, as well as liquorice and chocolate smells. Interwined is this wounderful green edge that lifts the wine into a cool climate sepctrum which typifies the cold year. These aromas combine with some cassis, blueberry, and cranberry, with lingering mocha and plumy fruit and are just showing through amongst a long, intense vibrant, gritty fruit tannin finish.
