A rich, vibrant crimson in colour. Fantastic aroma, sweet raspberry and plum fruits, seamless oak with hints of vanilla bean. A luscious mouthfeel, complex and intense with dark liquorice and concentrated berry flavours, pencil shavings and fertile earth. The tannins are huge, but present with softness whilst the finish lingers on and on.

This is a stunning follow up to the 2002. Dense purple plum colour. Pronounced glossy dark red fruits on the nose with a hint of vanilla spice. On the palate thick swathes of rich blackberry fruit with subtle hints of cedary oak and dark chocolate with a dusting of fine chalky tannins, finishing with great persistency
Dense purple red almost black. A powerful nose of ripe plums and succulent blackberries laced with a hint of cedar spice. Wow! Bella's as always shows amazing depth and power whilst maintaining an elegant fruit purity. Matured in all French oak, the majority being seasoned barrels, allowing the fruit to do the talking with only the merest hint of cedar oak to support the ripe plum and mulberry flavours. Finely woven tannins produce a long linear wine forming a race track like structure along the palate. Great length and persistency of flavour.
Winter started with heavy rains, which tapered off resulting in below average rainfalls and a successful budburst in early spring. Flowering and set occurred in November, promoting uniform berry development and bunch numbers were on average for the season. Veraison for Shiraz and Cabernet started in late January with the older vines producing lighter crops. The height of summer saw 65mm of rainfall in the last week of February requiring swift viticultural practices to prevent the onset of disease and fungus. Our 2003 Barossa Shiraz displayed great colour and depth of flavour. Yields overall were below the long-term average but the grapes were of good quality and the resultant wines display terrific potential.
Bright purple plum colour. Glossy red fruits and spiced plum cake on the nose with a hint of vanilla spice. The palate shows swathes of rich generous fruit, ripe blackberry intermingled with soft cedary spice. A fine coating of gentle tannins washes over the palate with a long and persistent finish to end.
