92/100
The Wine Advocate
The saturated dense purple-colored 2001 Shiraz Ellen Street offers up big aromas of melted chocolate, blackberries, cassis, cherries, and hints of pepper as well as new oak. Medium to full-bodied, velvety-textured, and opulent, it is a fine value for a Shiraz of this stature. It should drink well for a decade or more.
WA, Robert Parker Jr. Issue: #148

89/100
Wine Companion
Very ripe plum, prune and blackberry aromas; hyper-rich, ripe, luscious mouthfilling fruit; slightly old-fashioned McLaren Vale style.
, James Halliday Issue: Oct 2003
