92-95/100
The Wine Advocate
The 2004 Shiraz The Bogan, a blend of 98% Shiraz and 2% Viognier aged 20 months in primarily American oak, is a seamlessly constructed wine that was tasted immediately prior to bottling. Inky/purple-colored, with superb ripeness and fruit as well as loads of cassis, blackberry, cedar, and spice box, it will be gorgeous young, yet should age effortlessly.
WA, Robert Parker Jr. Issue: #161

94/100
Wine Spectator
Ripe and rich, but not over the top, a plush mouthful of cherry, blackberry, plum and licorice flavors, picking up coffee and cream notes as the finish sails on and on. Tannins are nicely integrated, but they can use cellaring to soften.
WS, Harvey Steiman Issue: Sep 30 2006

94/100
Wine Companion
Deep colour; a complex mix of blackberry fruits, earth and spice; the alcohol doesn't burn, and the overall extract only medium-bodied, the tannins in restraint.
, James Halliday Issue: May 2006

Two Hands-Bella's Garden-Shiraz-2004-750mL

Deep black core with an intense purple rim. The nose shows great intensity of blackberries and plum with a cedar dark chocolate edge.  A seamless full bodied palate showing a complex kaleidoscope of black fruits that are not intrusive but mingle harmoniously with the subtleties of the oak.

This wine possesses elegance and fruit purity; the tannins are evident but well balanced producing a ‘silk pillow’ mouth feel that is long and persistent.

Two Hands-Lily's Garden-Shiraz-2004-750mL

Wow, This one scares me! Amazingly dense black in colour, the bouquet is expressive and filled with plums, mocha, aniseed, coffee, Asian spices and melted chocolate with secondary notes of clove and tobacco.

The mouthfeel is dense, lush and sweet with an oozy density and a layered fruit driven palate, this Lily’s is more like the 2002.

Torbreck-The Struie-Shiraz-2003-750mL

The Struie sources fruit from the high altitudes of Eden Valley imparting delicate spice, white pepper and fruit characters. While the Barossa component displays a richer, deeper, more brooding flavour and intensity. The combined structure will reward extended cellaring.
