90/100
The Wine Advocate
The classic 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits copious quantities of black currant fruit, licorice, underbrush, and background oak as well as spice. This is a pure, medium to full-bodied, well-made, harmonious Cabernet.
WA, Robert Parker Jr. Issue: #155

89/100
Wine Spectator
Has a lean, hard-edged structure, packing ripe blackberry and currant fruit into a lively range of flavors, which linger on the juicy finish.
WS, Harvey Steiman Issue: Sep 30 2004

87/100
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Ruby-red. Currant, chocolate, woodsmoke and high-toned nutty oak on the nose. Sweet and oaky, with modest complexity. Seems a bit dulled by the strong wood element. Finishes with building, slightly dry tannins.
ST, Stephen Tanzer Issue: Aug 1 2004

Killibinbin-Estate-Shiraz-2003-750mL

A surprise packet! There are aromas of sweet, brambly fruit, exotic spice, earth and tar. A standout feature is the wonderful texture in the mouth this wine has, rich, opulent and round with fine, ripe tannins leading to a tight, dry finish.

Fox Creek-Short Row-Shiraz-2002-750mL

Very deep red with vibrant ruby rim. Powerful aromatics of blackberry, licorice and all spice. The subtle lifted vanilla from barrel fermentation adds complexity. Typical of our best parcels of McLaren Vale Shiraz, showing strong vibrant black fruit with richness that is achieved only in a region such as this. The depth and intensity of the palate is well balanced by a firm tannin structure. The finish shows great length and has supporting acid sufficient to allow for mid term cellaring. Best Wine - McLaren Vale Wine Show 2003, Best Shiraz - McLaren Vale Wine Show 2003, Gold Medal - McLaren Vale Wine Show 2003, Silver Medal - Royal Adelaide Wine Show 2003.
