La Corte

La Corte recognized the vast wine making potential in Puglia in 1998 while making wine at La Rendola in Tuscany. An avante garde decision at the time, they decided to set up shop in the province of Lecce, in a small town called Novoli. Since La Corte's inception, their mission has been to become the leading winemaker in Puglia, producing quality, balanced wines. Under the direction of La Corte's winemakers Chris Ringland and Giuseppe Caragnulo, La Corte specializes in the Primitivo and Negroamaro varietals. The Primitivo grows in forty to eighty-year-old vineyards located around the towns of Manduria and Sava; Negroamaro is sourced chiefly from vineyards around the town of Novoli. Production at La Corte is 250,000 bottles annually.
